California Restaurant Association To Host 4th Annual Culinary Clash: Battle Los Angeles At 2015 Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo

Los Angeles, CA August 17, 2015 - Several California restaurants have signed on to participate in the 4th annual Culinary Clash: Battle LA, presented by Coca Cola, at the 2015 Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo. The annual fundraising event benefits the California Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (CRAEF), and features restaurant company teams that will battle in this interactive cooking competition, slated to commence at 3 p.m. Monday, August 24th at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA.

“The Culinary Clash is a great outlet to raise money for a worthwhile industry cause, bringing leading corporate chefs and executives to team with ProStart students in an exciting competition,” said Ron Mathews, Industry Vice President of Urban Expositions, producers of the event. “This exciting and interactive cooking competition among restaurant teams raises money for high school culinary arts education while providing a fun and unique experience to our show for attendees.”

The Culinary Clash includes restaurant company corporate chefs and executives who team up with a ProStart student to prepare an amuse bouche and an entrée in 45 minutes using only two butane burners.
