ATLANTA (June 7, 2017) - Building upon its reputation as a destination resource for retailers seeking fresh, new designs for their Pacific Northwest local and tourist customers, the August 18-21, 2017 Seattle Gift Show at the Washington State Convention Center welcomes new resources to its growing Makers’ Market showcase for handcrafted designs, including new additions to the popular Urban Craft Uprising Pavilion, as well as a growing number of Northwest artisans.
“Buyers are always looking for new, unique items to make their stores stand out and the Pacific Northwest region offers a wealth of artisan talent that we’re bringing to the show floor,” says Lisa Glosson, vice president, souvenir/gift division, Urban Expositions.
Filled with handcrafted styles in all media and across all categories, the Seattle Gift Show’s Makers’ Market section will welcome the return of the Urban Craft Uprising Pavilion, featuring the work of artists from Seattle’s largest indie craft show. Among the companies retailers will see this summer include Naked Truth Beauty, Honeyberry Studios, Hillockburn Farm, Obsolete World, SaltyandSweet Design, Rx Letterpress, Wood Razor and many more!
The Makers’ Market section will also welcome a number of first-time exhibitors like Peace Waters, Firelights Fused Glass, A Tea Leaf Jewelry, Bella Luci Candles, Blade and Bloom, Seapod, Forge and Fire, Wanna Crafts, Yardia LLC, and Tangleweeds. In addition, several more vendors will be returning to the handmade section showcasing their latest designs in tabletop, ceramics, textiles, home décor, jewelry, apparel and more, including Beadware, Clear Creek Pottery, Compass Rose Design, Dona Bela Shreds, Dreamspirit, Forest Life Creations, Greenman Stone, Jenteal Soaps, Paperwings Studio, Sageworks Designs, Tiger Food Press, Ventures, and Verso Jewelry.
The Makers’ Market section also puts a special spotlight on Made in America and international resources, too.
In addition to the growing handcrafted resources, the August edition will also welcome more than 45 additional new, first-time exhibitors to the show floor’s other categories, including Gift, Home & Garden, Food Focus, Personal Style, Made in the USA and Treasures To Go. The versatile product selection is backed by a full roster of buyer services and programs. Among them, a special presentation by Bill Brunelle, co-founder, Independent We Stand. Scheduled for Saturday, August 19 at 1:30 pm, “Why Buy Into Buying Local” will highlight real-life tips retailers can use to build their local brand and leverage their locally owned status.
