Las Vegas (February 27, 2017) – Held February 20-23, 2017 at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas, the Womenswear In Nevada (WWIN) show recorded a 13 percent increase in store attendance over the February 2016 edition. Attracting apparel retailers and other buyers from all 50 states and 30-plus foreign countries, the 2017 show also tracked notable increases from key geographic targets, including Nevada, Texas, Colorado, Wisconsin and Missouri as well as Canada and Mexico. Fueled by a record-breaking opening day, the strong attendance came together with exhibitor reports of brisk order-writing and new business to create a positive buzz on the show floor during the four-day run.

“WWIN’s enduring reputation as a friendly, relaxed show with a broad and deep selection attracts loyal and new customers each year,” said Dirk von Gal, senior vice president, Fashion | LA, Urban Expositions, the show management company that purchased the show in late 2015. “Show Director Chad Timney and Founder Roland Timney work tirelessly to constantly fine-tune our exhibitor offerings to deliver a well-balanced selection of fresh new companies and best-selling womenswear lines. Their efforts, along with our expanded marketing outreach, are generating great results and we’re already working on a number of new programs and promotions for the August edition.”

Bringing together more than 1,500 lines from 500+ exhibitors in every womenswear category -- including traditional, missy, contemporary, plus, tall, petite sizes and countless accessory lines --the show floor welcomed a record number of new, first-time exhibitors to the February edition.

"I've done many shows, but this is my first time at WWIN,” said exhibitor Phyllis Cohen, Focus 2000.  “I am amazed by the number of orders we've gotten this week."‚Äč

"We haven't exhibited at WWIN in 7 years and we are very happy to be back this year,” added Jim Martin, Green 3.  “We go to New York, Atlanta, and other shows and the quality of buyer that attends WWIN is amazing to us."

To help maximize time and travel savings, WWIN provides complimentary breakfast, lunch and afternoon refreshments to retailers so they can enjoy a convenient meal without leaving the show.  All registered buyers receive meal tickets with the admission badges they pick up when they arrive on show site.   In addition,  WWIN extended the show hours on opening day  --  serving  wine and cheese so buyers could stay late to network and  shop until 8 pm.

Opening one day before a number of the other trade shows comprising Las Vegas Fashion Week, WWIN’s first day was among the highest attended in its recent history.

"Almost all of my orders on opening day were brand new accounts for us,” said Ravi Shajwani, Shana Apparel.  “It has been a great show for us.”

"This has been a record breaking first day for our company during any February show,” added Laura Hlavac, Laura Hlavac Apparel.

The next edition of WWIN is scheduled for August 14-17, 2017 at the Rio Hotel.  For more information on exhibiting or attending, visit
